My kids and I absolutely love s’mores… which I’m sure most people do. So today for a fun treat I decided to make them a s’mores dip. Since it’s been a while since we have had s’mores and I didn’t feel like starting up our fire pit… I decided to make it in the oven. It’s pretty simple to make, especially if your not even planning to color the marshmallows. Which I highly recommend if your wanting it to be holiday festive. I plan to make this for Halloween and Christmas too so be ready for those.
For ours I used some homemade colored sugar (I’ll be sharing how I made it later in a blog soon) to color our marshmallows, but if you don’t have any colored sugar you can use fine sprinkles. You can make this a small family size or a huge platter for a party. Just know that it needs to kept warm for everything to scoopable. So keep that in mind of bringing or having at a party.

So since it is almost Fourth Of July let’s get V to this recipe so you can get to making it!
Ingredients
- Marshmallows
- Sprinkles in red, white, and blue
- Graham crackers/pretzels
- Chocolate chips
- Scissors
- Cooking spray
- Toothpicks
Directions
Marshmallows
- Place each color of sprinkles or colored sugar in a separate bowl.
- Place your marshmallow on a toothpick and dunk fully into a bowl of water
- Take out and dry it off
- Holding your marshmallow over the bowl of red sugar, star scooping your sugar up and pouring it onto the marshmallow. Be sure to rotate to cover all the edges and sides. Don’t dip your marshmallow into the sugar. The moisture will make your sugar clump up.
- Repeat with each color and for your desired amount of marshmallows to fit as half of one layer in your pan.
- Spray your scissor with you cooking spray and cut your marshmallows in half. This will double the amount you have. So you only need to prep enough marshmallows to do half your pan before you cut them.
- Continue to s’mores dip…
S’mores Dip
- Pour your chocolate chips into your baking dish. You will want them about 1.5 inches thick. They will melt and it be about 3/4 in thick.
- Layer the top with your marshmallows. Rotating between colors.
- Bake at 450 degrees for 7-10 minutes.
- Turn your oven to broil for 2 mins (watch to make sure your marshmallows don’t burn).
- Take out and use the graham crackers to dip it. Enjoy!
I have a ton more S’mores treats coming to my blog soon so be sure to subscribe if you don’t want to miss them. I don’t spam your email with every blog I write because that would be super annoying but I do try to send out monthly emails to share what’s been falling over here. Soo I hope you make your way back and stay awhile.
Until next time, Live a life you love!
Xo Jessica!
