Now I don’t know about you and your family but mine realy loves tacos. Taco anything is loved in our home so much that we take “Taco Tuesday” pretty serious here.
We actually love tacos so much that they became our birthday party staple food. We will never host another birthday party without “Walking Tacos” ever again.

They are extremely convenient for everyone and everyone gets to make their own just how they like it. You just provide the sides and presto… taco in a bag with no clean up either. I always cook the taco meat the night before and then throw it into a crock pot and set it on warm for the duration of the party. and when i say everyone loves it. I mean EVERYONE… so you’ll need to make a couple pounds for sure.

For today’s blog I didn’t have a party to host but that didn’t stop me. We had walking tacos for dinner and trust me my family didn’t complain. My kids love to be able to create their own meals. And this lets them do just that. Bonus there wasn’t that much to clean up after.
Now you might be thinking.. what the heck is a walking taco. Well its pretty much taco salad in a bag.

What you need:
- Individual chip bags. We prefer Doritos over here.
- Taco meat. I do between 3-5 lbs when I host.
- Sides (sour cream, lettuce, tomatoes, salsa, shredded cheese, cheese dip, onions, guacamole, olives, peppers, etc) you can go all out or keep it simple.
How to make Walking Tacos:
- Crunch up your bag of chips before you open it
- Open and add in all your ingredients you want
- mix and enjoy
Now here is just a bunch of photos I took to showcase how we enjoyed ours for dinner.
I’ve connected with some amazing Bloggers to share some blogs featuring tacos. Tacos, fajitas, nachos and all things taco themed. Head to each of their blogs to check out what they are sharing.
Thanks for taking the time to stop by and check out this yummy taco meal. If you make it or make your own variation of it. Let me know!
Until next rime.
Xo Jessica!
