If you’ve ever met my family in person then you know we love us some donuts. We will take them basic with just glaze, cake donuts or frosted like a cupcake. It doesn’t matter to us when it comes to donuts. We love them all.

So when we moved states to a very small town. I think it’s actually considered a village where we live. That’s how small the population is here. But with a small town also comes smaller accommodations. Which means we don’t have a donut shop near us. I mean we have a place that makes donuts but they are cute and decorated for when we want to treat ourselves.
So I knew that I need to figure out how to get donuts in our home and ASAP. So I ordered us this silicone donut pan from amazon, and it’s doesn’t disappoint.

I’ve made my own donuts and glaze and this time around I decided to go with some frosting. So they were practically a dessert more than a breakfast but my littles didn’t complain. And I had fun making all kinds of fun designs. I made regular size donuts and mini donuts and will be walking you through how to make each one below like I did with my Halloween donuts.

Before we get to the decorating part I want to share with you are favorite donut recipe. This recipe makes exactly 9 donuts and is perfect for the pan we have been using.

- Spoon the mixture into your greased donut pan filling about 3/4 full. Do not over fill and cover the center pivot.
- Place pan in the oven for 18-22 mins
- Insert a wooden toothpick when done to ensure it is fully done. NO wet batter should be on your toothpick when you remove it.

If your feel the festive Christmas donut vibes but don’t feel like a king your own. That’s fine too. Go check out the fun mini ones I made use donuts from the store.

Remember to have fun with these and don’t over complicate the process. If your not feeling the decorating part. Then just bake and frost them and let your little go to town decorating them. I’ve let mine do this and they really enjoy it.
If you decide to make these then comment below and let me know which ones you made and how you liked the recipe. Also thank you for stopping by to check out my blog and I hope you come back soon.
Until next time, live a life you love
