Back when I was a family and child photographer I would host themed mini sessions. I always wanted a variety of props so that it could be a little bit different and have things to entertain the littles. So I would DIY all the things and then use them as decor when I wasn’t doing a shoot. One of my favorites that I ever made was so simple but so cute. It was stick arrows for Valentine’s Day. It only uses two materials and 2 tools to make and is so cute.
You can display them along shelves or in a vase standing up. I used them to display on my kids themed table scape to make it pretty. Still using it as props over here and no regrets on making it. So let’s get to the super easy tutorial.

Items Needed:
- Felt
- Sticks (from your yard)
- Glue gun
- Scissors
Directions:
- Collect sticks from your yard and break them to the size you’d like. I didn’t want mine to long so they are about 7-8 inches long.
- Cut out 2 hearts (for your arrow tips) and 2 wide chevron design (for the back part of your arrow). You’ll want them to be the same size as one will be the front and one the back. So use the tracing method if you need to or cut through two pieces of felt at a time.
- Hot glue the two hearts to one side with the tip of the heart facing away from the stick. And then glue the chevron shapes to the other end with the point facing towards the stick.
- Decorate and enjoy!

See I told you it’s super easy to make. This would even be a fun craft to make with your kids. If you loved this let me know below or share so all your friends can get to crafting.
Until next time. Live a life love.
