Have you ever written yourself a letter? I’ve thought about it. Just to see what I would say to myself but never really pulled the plug on doing it.
There’s just way to much to say that honestly I could probably write a dang book to myself. And she probably wouldn’t read it or listen anyways. I was a stubborn one. Still am! I was also very hard on myself back then too. As I’m sure everyone was in their teenage years.
If I could tell her one thing though… it would be to find the beauty in every moment. Life’s to short to do anything but look for the good. Even in the darkest of days.
I would also try to send as much strength and love I could in a letter. Younger me didn’t have an easy route. She had lots of forks in her road but was never allowed to make her own choices until she was practically and adult.
Being tossed around like a hacky sack is pretty much how her journey went. So if end it with something along the lines of this too shall pass. Just so she knows it’s not going to last forever. One day she’ll be able to choose her own happiness.
If you haven’t written yourself a letter yet. I highly encourage it. It’s good for the soul! And good for your heart and mind. And you might even surprise yourself!
