When it comes to cleaning I’ll be the first to yell it from a roof top or whatever to admit I don’t like doing it. It’s not a hobby or something I aspired to do when I grew up. But I’m a mom of four kids and we as a family make lots of messes. But because I don’t like cleaning I’ve figured out some ways to make that part of my life easier. Because I don’t like a dirty home either.
The perfect combo I know right! So since I’ve learned some tricks and things along the way in my last 8 years as a mother I always love to share them here with you. Because at some point you might find yourself not enjoying cleaning either. Or just want a simpler way to do things. So below I’m going to share 7 ways to cut your cleaning time in half. Trust me these work especially if you implement them on the daily. Or as often as you can. Because grace is a mothers good friend.

Clean as you go and wipe down messes as you spot them.
Never leave a room empty handed. Or use the 1 touch rule (touch it once and put it back where it belongs instead of moving it around)
Sort and take care of mail when you bring it in. Place all that junk mail and extra mail pieces right in the recycling bin
Keep countertops clean and clear. Put things back when your done or at the end of each day to start your mornings fresh.
Put dishes in the dishwasher right away or at least rinse them off so they are dishwasher ready (if it’s full)
Use fewer cleaners. We have one main cleaner we use and we use it for everything and everyone knows where it’s main location to be stored is so it can be easily found.
Use my cleaning or laundry routine. I’ve seriously seriously simplified these so much in my life that I’m sure everyone can benefit from reading my blogs on them.
I hope I was able to help you simplify your cleaning routine and find ways to make it much more enjoyable to clean… if that’s possible. I personally don’t associate cleanly and enjoy together. So it’s probably just more manageable for me. If you have any tips or tricks you’d like to share on how you keep your cleaning time to a minimum please share in the comments below.
Until next time love a life you love!
